Breezy Mills Warranty
Breezy Mills takes pride in the quality of our windmills and pond aeration equipment. We stand behind our products and want our customers to get years of use from their Breezy Mills windmill.
The following warranty applies to Breezy Mills windmill blades, towers, and aeration components when installed, operated, and maintained according to Breezy Mills recommendations.
Important Severe Weather Notice
If your area is expected to experience a severe or high-wind storm, we recommend lowering the windmill tower when it is safe and practical to do so.
Lowering the tower before a major storm can help reduce the chance of the windmill being struck and damaged by flying or windborne debris.
Damage caused by flying debris or other windborne objects is not covered under the Breezy Mills warranty.
Always lower the tower before severe weather arrives. Never attempt to lower, raise, or work on a windmill during dangerous wind or storm conditions.
Windmill Blade Warranty
Breezy Mills windmill blades are covered by a 5-year warranty under normal use and for wind conditions up to 90 MPH.
To qualify for warranty coverage, the blade must be installed on a Breezy Mills windmill.
Blade Warranty Requirements
When submitting a blade warranty claim, you will need to provide:
- Pictures of the damaged blade
- Proof of purchase, including the purchase date, purchaser's name, and receipt
- The damaged blade, which must be returned to Breezy Mills
Please contact us before returning any parts so we can review the claim and provide return instructions.
Windmill Tower Warranty
Breezy Mills windmill towers are warranted for wind conditions up to 90 MPH.
Proper installation and anchoring of the tower are required for warranty coverage.
Tower Installation Requirements
The tower must be installed using either:
- A Breezy Mills steel base, or
- An appropriate concrete pad or concrete pillar foundation
The base and tower must be properly installed and level. A level tower is important for both proper windmill operation and the structural installation of the tower.
Tower Warranty Requirements
When submitting a tower warranty claim, you will need to provide:
- Pictures of the damaged tower and components
- Pictures of the installation and foundation
- Proof of purchase, including the purchase date, purchaser's name, and receipt
- Damaged components, which must be returned to Breezy Mills
Flying Debris Damage
The tower warranty for wind conditions up to 90 MPH does not cover damage caused by flying debris or other objects striking the windmill.
For this reason, when a significant windstorm or severe weather event is forecast, we recommend lowering the tower ahead of the storm when it can be done safely.
Pond Aeration Pump Warranty
Breezy Mills wind-powered pond aeration equipment has separate warranty periods for the primary components of the aeration pump.
Bearings & Camshaft — 5 Years
The aeration pump bearings and camshaft are covered for 5 years with proper maintenance.
Regular maintenance is important to the operation and service life of these components.
Airbag — 10 Years
The aeration pump airbag is covered for 10 years.
Aeration Warranty Requirements
When submitting an aeration component warranty claim, you will need to provide:
- Pictures of the damaged or failed component
- Proof of purchase, including the purchase date, purchaser's name, and receipt
- The damaged component, which must be returned to Breezy Mills
- Evidence of proper maintenance when applicable to the bearings and camshaft
Please contact us before returning the pump or any individual components.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue, contact us before returning any parts.
When contacting us, please provide as much of the following information as possible:
- Your name
- Purchase date
- Receipt or other proof of purchase
- Pictures of the damaged component
- Pictures of the complete windmill
- Pictures of the tower base, foundation, and installation when applicable
- A brief description of the problem
- A description of what happened when the damage or failure occurred
Once the information has been reviewed, we will provide instructions for returning the damaged component and proceeding with the warranty claim.
Do not ship damaged components back without contacting us first.
Warranty Limitations
Warranty coverage applies to the Breezy Mills components and conditions specifically described above.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by flying debris or other windborne objects striking the windmill.
Tower and blade wind ratings should not be interpreted as protection against impact from trees, branches, building materials, or other objects carried by severe winds.
When severe weather is forecast, lowering the tower ahead of the storm is recommended whenever it can be done safely.
